Rodents for Dessert?

One of Jen's favorite desserts is squirrel. Well, not real squirrel, but a look-alike made from a half of a pear and some household spices.

Here's the recipe. It's very easy. take a large can of pear halves (preferably in light syrup or in own juice) and place halves on baking sheet (there is no cooking involved, but this keeps the plates relatively clean for presentation). drizzle a little honey over pear halves. take 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, and a pinch of ground clove and mix in a separate small dish. Take a small pinch at a time and sprinkle over the pears. Use whole cloves for eyes and noses. Use bay leaves as tails. Gently remove from baking sheet and arrange on plates. One large can of pears should make six squirrels. Suggestion: try serving on a piece of leaf lettuce with some cottage cheese.

I call the image above "Squirrels Conversing."
